The Wizard of Oz

Have you ever watched The Wizard of Oz? It is my all time favorite movie. I've always been fascinated with how Dorothy seems to be living in this dream world. I love the colors and the people and the ruby red slippers and as scared as I am of those flying monkeys, I always watch to see Dorothy accomplish what she has set out to do. I have plenty of dreams of my own, going abroad to do mission work just one of many, but I am not content with my dreams staying just dreams. I want to live my dreams! So after many years of dreaming, I'm taking a page from Dorothy's book and have begun to make this trip a reality. Now, if only I could find those ruby red slippers...

Learning English as a Second Language

You go to an English speaking country and expect to hear English...and you do of course, but some of that English doesn't really translate. There is a gap in the language just like there is an ocean between countries. The following is a collection of words I've learned and will no doubt add to. Enjoy :)
